Measuring 5 ¼ inches by 11 ¾ inches, is a fused piece of system 96 glass, housed within pattern bar inserts. It is a one-of-a-kind piece which is formed by material reactions in the glass patter bars when organically flowing in the kiln, and therefore can never be replicated.
Cyclades provides a reflection on the colour blue, the deeper meanings it invokes, and provides an unrestrained exploration into direct sensations the colour can provide.
Our Cyclades tray is compromised on nine horizontal strips, of which four are an opaque clouded white. Due to the transparency of the blue strips however, refractive patterns occur on the surface beneath this artwork, enticing more happenstance patterns as it interacts with its environment.
