Our lovely fused glass heart sculptures are one of a kind and completely handmade in California. This heart is made by cutting each individual piece of the design and then carefully assembling the pieces. It is then fire is a kiln up to 1500 F and cooled down to a solid, polished finish. After removed from the kiln each heart is cold worked with diamond disks to give the edges a finished uniform edge and then return to the kiln for a final fire polish. Each heart fires for at-least a total of 30 hours.
Each heart is handcrafted to generate an organic design that cannot be replicated. Like our own hearts, they are one of a kind.
This "Houndstooth Skies" heart is made of bright translucent blue glass with opposing cloudy white glass.
Every custom designed piece can be accompanied by a custom made clear acrylic stand or black acrylic stand.
Each piece is signed by the artist & a certificate of authenticity is included.
